Gurukul Global School Chandigarh added another feather to its cap when it organized a virtual three-day event to commemorate the launch of its First Official Alumni Meet & Greet. The event also marked the formal formation of the Gurukul Global Alumni Association (G2A2).
The first event on 25th May focused on discussing the pandemic and the role of the individual in mitigating it. In this video podcast, two doctor Alumni- Dr. Tanya and Dr. Simran were interviewed by another alumnus Kartik.
The second event on 27th May 'Interwoven' saw the mingling of the present students of class XI & XII with their senior alumni. Students participated in online games like the Open Mic and Treasure Hunt. Saksham Khosla of Class XI won Treasure Hunt, while the Open Mic winners were Lagan Gill, Karthik, and Arshia Mahajan.
The concluding event on 29th May witnessed the presence of MD Sh. Parveen Setya, President Ms Neena Setya, Member Management Sh. Deepak Dhiman, Principal Ms. Nina Panday, Faculty members, and Alumni from across the borders.
The event began with the Alumni Logo reveal, where Alumni threw light on its unique design. The Alumni talked about the significance of various elements of the logo such as its leaves depicting nature, the Sun & Ocean depicting the Universe, and the origin of life.
The office-bearers of G2A2 spoke about the need for the care of the Elderly as this is the social cause adopted by the association. During the event, Alumni of the first batch which passed out in the year 2012 along with their teachers were honored. The event also showcased musical performances by Lagan Gill, Kashish Lubana, and Eman Chaudhary. President Ms. Neena Setya presented mementos such as Badges, T-Shirts, keyrings & pens to the Alumni and Office Bearers. The event concluded with thank you speech given by Ms. Leena Khaneja, Alumni Incharge.
In today's time when Pandemic has kept everyone indoors and at a distance, this was a small step by Gurukulites to bring the Alumni closer and unite them for a good cause.
